Vientiane Foodie Tour

We will begin the cuisine tour at a local fresh market, where we will sample traditional Lao coffee, laughing cookies, and buffalo eye cookies (creative translation). We continue traveling around the market, where you will be surprised by the diverse colors and smells of the plants and spices. Your guide will explain where all of the customary food products are utilized and how the locals incorporate them into their cuisine.

After seeing the market, we go to a pleasant, quiet restaurant to watch how a traditional Kao Piak soup and papaya salad are prepared. Be astonished by the exquisite and delicious Lao flavors! Dessert time! Visit one of Vientiane's best traditional ice cream businesses. The ice cream is handcrafted and typical Lao, with sticky rice to round out the flavor profile.

After today's gourmet adventure, we will drive along the Mekong River and enjoy a refreshing beer Lao with some spectacular sights. Later, we return to your hotel.
