8 Days: Yangon – Bagan – Lake Inle – Mandalay
Day 1 - Arrival Yangon
On arrival in Yangon International airport, after clearing Immigration and Custom, welcome by English Speaking guide with holding welcome signage with your name on it and transferred you to the hotel for check-in. In case, if you can't find your name, please use emergency local contact number and we will locate your guide immediately. (Note: Please also be informed that official check-in time is 14:00 hour. Therefore, early check-in is subject to availability)
Day 2 - Yangon Full Day sightseeing,
Morning, we explore Yangon Heritage City. The tour begins this morning at Nanthida Jetty, close to the colonial elegance of the Strand Hotel. From here begin a leisurely-paced walking tour of the city, Yangon is blessed with the highest concentration of colonial architecture in Southeast Asia and the famous Pansodan Street features architectural interests such as the former High Court and General Telegraph Office. Also visit the Independence Monument and St Mary's Cathedral, the largest in the country. Then take a rickshaw to the Botataung Pagoda. Before we stop for lunch break, we shopping at Bogyoke Market. The market serves both locals as well as tourists, so you'll find a wide array of souvenir and gem stalls, as well as places carrying cosmetics, sewing supplies and cheap clothing. The market is open every day except Monday and Public Holidays and consists of a warren of alleys and shops. A large building in the center of the market houses mostly souvenir stalls. Gems and jade shops are along the rear alley. Lunch at Local Restaurant (own account). In the afternoon, your visit to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to see a huge reclining Buddha image. Finally, we ending our visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, famous worldwide - its golden stupa is the 'heart' of Buddhist Myanmar. The Pagoda is believed to be 2,500 years old and the central stupa in surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. There are always many Myanmar people praying and making offerings at the Shwedagon, and it's a fascinating place to spend time watching the world go by. Accommodation at your hotel.
Day 3 - Yangon to Bagan
Early morning, transfer to airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrive, your tour begins with the view point which is made instead of Shwe San Daw. The view offers one of the best panoramas of Bagan and sets the scene and gives scale for future exploration. Light shines onto all temples at this time making it perfect for photography! - Continue on to the Dammayan Gyi Temple which is the largest in Bagan and a huge pyramid temple and then a short drive to Gubyaukgyi Temple, known as “the Painted Cave” because of the beautiful frescoes inside. Then visit Manuhar Paya, home to 4 large and very claustrophobic Buddha statues said to represent the “captive” state of mind of king Manuha who was imprisoned in Bagan. A short walk to Nanpaya Temple. Hindu temple with great carvings of Brahma inside and return to your hotel for lunch (not included) and a break. - Late this afternoon you'll take a horse cart tour of the temples, before enjoying the magnificent sunset from the open terraces of one of the less busy Bagan temples. After sunset visit Ananda at night. A beautiful and exclusive stop at this temple! There will be few tourists and vendors at this time, just a few worshippers, allowing you to enjoy the magical atmosphere. Enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant before being transferred back to your hotel.
Day 4 - Bagan to Lake Inle
After breakfast, you leave the temples of Bagan and will fly to Heho Airport. Upon arrival at Heho Airport, you will be transfer to Nyaung Shwe. Approximately: 1 hour and half hour drive. Along the way, we will have a quick stop at a Shwe Yan Pyay monastery. Arrive Nyaung Shwe and we will stop to purchase Zone Fees. later we transfer to Jetty to board a private local boat that will bring you to your hotel on the lake" rest of the day at leisure and accommodation at your hotel.
Day 5 - Inle Lake Full Day Sightseeing by boat,
Full day boat trip explore in Inle Lake. Burma’s second largest lake, Lake Inle provides a wonderful backdrop to today’s activities. Heading out by boat this morning we begin with a visit to the floating gardens, formed by a combination of silt and weeds that, over time produce a rich base from which to cultivate fruit and vegetables. The Inthas who live along these shores tend these gardens from long, banana-shaped boats, presenting some unmissable photo opportunities. These same boats are used by the fishermen, who row them by means of a distinctly unique method that involves them standing on the stern and manipulating the oar with one leg. Later, boat trips excursion to, explore traditional handicrafts - silk weaving on wooden handlooms near In Paw Khone and a blacksmith workshop. We will visit to Inle Lake Cigar Making workshops. The cigars are wrapped in thanal-phet tree leaves and contain crushed tobacco and bits of dried wood seasoned with several flavours such as honey or tamarind. Finally, ending your visit at Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in Southern Shan State. After sightseeing, return back to your hotel.
Day 6 - Lake Inle to Mandalay
Breakfast at hotel. Later, we transfer to Heho Airport for your flight to Mandalay. On arrival in Mandalay airport, after clearing Immigration and Custom, welcome by English Speaking guide with holding welcome signage with your name on it and transferred you to the hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival flight timing, we will visit an afternoon city tour In the afternoon, we are discovering something of the city’s Buddhist heritage begins with a visit to the Maha Myatmuni Pagoda, home to Mandalay’s most revered Buddhist statue. Following a chance to watch street artisans at work, you’ll then head to the base of Mandalay Hill, where you will visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda, the largest book in the world and the intricate teak carvings of Shwenandaw Monastery. The day ends with a spectacular sunset vista from the top of Mandalay Hill.
Day 7 - Waso Monastery-Sagaing-Amarapura-Ava,
Visit the Waso Monastery this morning. After that, you will be heading to Sagaing, one of the most important religious and monastic centres in the country. The hillsides that lead up from the river are crowded with numerous monasteries and pagodas and you will visit a few, taking in the U Min Thoneze Pagoda (Thirty Caves), the central pagoda of Soon U Pon Nya Shin and Kaungmudaw. In the afternoon drive to Amarapura and on arrival board a local ferry to sail down to Ava. The country's former capital, which for nearly 500 years lay at the heart of Burmese power and culture, Ava was founded by King Thamdominbya in 1364 on an artificial island at the confluence of the Irrawaddy and Myitnge Rivers. On arrival visit the Buddhist Maha Aungmyae Bonzan Monastery, built in 1818 by the wife of King Bodawpaya, before taking a relaxing horse cart ride around the sights of the old city. After that take a local ferry back to the mainland and overland drive back to Amarapura. Enjoy the sunset from the 140-year-old teak-stilted U Bein Bridge which spans Lake Thaungthaman. You will then be taken back to Mandalay and dropped at your hotel.
Day 8 - Airport Transfer
our English Speaking guide will pick up you from your hotel and transfer to airport for your onward flight to next destination (or) home departure. We suggest to reconfirm your onward ticket with your guide one day prior to departure and ensure your appointment is set for transfer. The drive may take approximately 1 hour to the airport. Please be informed that check-in counter is closed 30 minute prior to departure.
